Teen swimwear 101

Swimwear for teens is probably the hardest thing to buy because you often feel insecure about your developing body but there is always a solution out there. Whether a sporty one-piece or a high waisted bikini you will find something out there that will make you feel good!

Small bust- If you have a small bust try 'flouncy' or 'hankerchief' tops as they create a little curve and give good coverage. The ones pictured are both from New look ( top left, bottom right) Also give bandeaus a try as they work well on most body shapes.

Full bust- I love high waisted bikini on girls with a fuller bust as I think it evens them out slightly. Most come with a top with a lot of support but don't feel pressured into underwires as they aren't always the best for young girls. Halters are probably the most comfortable for bigger busts. This cute, floral one shown ( bottom left) is from New look and has cutouts on the side.

Insecure- If you feel a little insure about swimwear, especially bikinis, try going for a sportier look such as these simple racer backs from slazenger. They can be as funky as you like but the coverage may help you to feel more like yourself! If you want to wear a bikini or tankini maybe try with these cute swim shorts from funkita with them (top row).

Sporty- whether that's body type or style have a look at the swimming costumes mentioned in 'insecure' and try a sporty halter such as this one from zoggs (top row). Personally I love love swim shorts such as the pictured ones from funkita (top row).

Never tailor your body to swimwear but as long as you're healthy and happy find the right swimwear for you. These are just suggestions, wear whatever ever makes you feel your most confident...
